FERNANDO VON CARSTENN-LICHTERFELDE

He started his professional career in the year 1980, in a law office with delegations in Madrid, Paris and Brussels. He stayed in this office for more than 18 years, 12 of them as Partner. He was responsible for the German Desk and the Labor Department of the office. In 1997 he created the law office v. CARSTENN-LICHTERFELDE together with another partner, where he has been working as a full time lawyer ever since. At this moment he works as lawyer and is also Secretary of the Board of Directors of different companies.

Throughout his career he has counseled many companies in corporate and labor law matters, having participated also in M & A operations. He has also acted as lawyer before the most important national and international Arbitration courts. Additionally he has appeared before all manner of Spanish courts in the civil, commercial and labor jurisdiction and coordinated the defense of Spanish companies before foreign courts.

He is member of different associations (UIA, AHAJ, INSOL, etc.) and has participated actively as speaker and lecturer at different forums (IE, CEF, Insolvency Committee of the UIA, MFE, IFE, etc.). He has written many articles concerning different aspects of the law in newspapers, specialized and books.

He obtained his law degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and attended the Centro de Estudios Tributarios y Económicos to obtain a Master in Taxation law.
